This update is way overdue and I promise to get in touch more often. Moving homes was so very overwhelming in a good way. I promise not to bore you with all the specifics but I am not sure how to keep this blog going without adding some personal experiences every now and then.

So we moved homes in January and I got a new dedicated space for both ‘By Lef’ and ‘DEEZ Dutch’. Please let me know if you would be interested in a more detailed post about my setup etc. I’m not sure if you are curious about my working conditions and productivity setup, but if you are, I’d gladly share it! So now I have a By Lef studio and a full working space for all the DEEZ Dutch equipment! We are truly overjoyed and looking forward to not doing big home improvement projects for the next few months.

Here’s my real ‘hello world’! The first blog post on my first real website!

I will not just start a ramble here about me since I still have to write an ‘About’ page anyway. I will start out my first post by telling you why I launched this website in the first place. This should be a good subject to get this first post out-of-the-way and reduce stress levels :).

I love to write and share

So I once had a blog back when hardly anyone blogged. It was focussed on design in a virtual world. It was this great place where I connected with many people online and even made real friends I still speak to on a regular basis. Ever since I started my online shops I missed having a similar place to write and blog. But since having a business feels so much more grown-up, I wanted my website to be and look all grown-up as well.
